Alyson Dorfman is the co-founder of Radius Physical + Sports Rehab, where she leads business development and operations. She came to health care from business, with a degree in Marketing and Entrepreneurship from the University of Washington's Foster School of Business, and has spent her career building rehabilitation companies that put clinical outcomes ahead of profits.
Before founding Radius, Alyson helped grow a premier sports rehabilitation group in Seattle from a handful of clinics into a multi-market company, eventually serving as its Chief Operating Officer and overseeing expansion into four new markets. Her work spanned branding and marketing strategy, facility design, hiring, and the day-to-day logistics of opening clinics that worked well for patients and staff alike.
She later worked with corporate clients through a national musculoskeletal provider group, supporting employers such as Costco and Nordstrom. By analyzing claims data and guiding employees toward less invasive, more effective care, she built programs that reduced musculoskeletal health care spending by roughly 40 percent, while measurably improving how those employees felt and functioned at work. That experience shaped a conviction that good care and lower cost are not at odds. In 2017, with a focus on clinical outcomes, patient experience, and value, she founded Radius in Grass Valley, California.
Outside of work, Alyson can be found at yoga or CrossFit, on the Yuba River, or out running with her dog, Lyla. After ten years away, she is thrilled to be back in Nevada City.
