The diagnostic exam comes first
When it comes to musculoskeletal conditions, a clear diagnosis is essential. Without it, even the best treatment tools can miss the mark.
Every patient at Radius starts with a thorough one-hour evaluation. This includes orthopedic testing to rule conditions in and out, functional movement analysis to identify how your body is compensating, detailed health history to account for past injuries and lifestyle factors, and red flag screening to ensure safe and appropriate care.
But an accurate diagnosis is only part of the picture. Two patients can share the exact same diagnosis and still need very different care. Your functional movement assessment and health history are what make the diagnosis specific to you — which is why no two tennis elbows are treated quite the same. Factors like prior injuries, comorbidities, and even nutrition and hydration can influence how a condition presents and how you recover. Our providers know which of these factors matter, and they ask and test for them.
Once we have that full picture, we'll walk you through your personalized recovery plan — which may include any combination of the treatments below.

What to expect
Every plan starts with a thorough diagnostic exam so we understand exactly what's driving your symptoms. From there, your care is built around your specific condition: its severity, how long you've had it, and whether surgery or other complicating factors are involved. As you progress, we adjust. And whatever the path, you'll always know what we're doing and why. We treat patients as partners in their recovery, not as passive recipients of care.
